Yet, which weighs less? The Z06, by a lot!

They run neck and neck, same 4.2 seconds exactly but the SL is twice the car the corvette is from my standpoint

The ZO6 is in no way a touring car, a regular corvette could be considered that way, but the ZO6 is basically a race vehicle. The Sl65, aston martins, ferrari 550/575/612 are all touring cars. The ZO6 has phenomenal performance and the Sl65 cannot hold anything against it on the track. I'm not being biased, it's simply the fact that the Sl65 was not built that way. I think the ZO6 is simply amazing, the Sl65 is just a hugely powerful brick, where as the ZO6 can hold it's own and apparently beat many GT exotics on the track. I'm sure you've seen the top gear episode where for the first time Jeremy actually praises an American car.

who is "we"? at what event did you beat a corvette? what type of corvette? You can't lump all corvettes together, was it a C1? C3? C5Z? C6? C6Z?

The problem here is that you make broad general comments without any backing and then when you get challenged on it you respond with personal opinion, if you want to have a discussion about a topic, have a discussion, if you want to throw shi*t on the wall to see what sticks, well, I'll avoid your posts because it's frustrating to have those types of discussions. (I'm not picking on you either, no intent to offend)

I don't know much about the new bodystyle trimlines, I just know we've been to track meets in the SL, my dad driving and we have won against them, I looked up the stats and from what I can tell the Z06 runs directly against the SL, I'm not a corvette fan so all I know is we've beat the new bodystyle, I can tell the old bodystyle from the new but not trimline to trimline and even looking at pics really can't tell the difference
