No M3, No 540i

Well my brother dropped a bomb.. We won't be getting another BMW. He decided he wants a pickup truck! I was sad at first but I'm warming up to the idea quickly. I'm liking the Dodge Ram..
Anyone have any tips/suggestions?

Yes... Brothers don't let brothers drive Dodge Rams. You have GOT to talk him out of it...

Well the problem is that he lives in Colorado and does a lot of outdoors things, like skiing/snowboarding, camping, rock climbing, etc., so his A4 isn't too practical.. He's bringing the A4 back here for a summer car and the Ram is going out there.

If he's going to get a pickup truck, at least get the BMW one

To answer your signature, no, you're not retarded, but apparently, your brother is!

That thing looks like a beast...IS a beast. If you go with anything less, then you should just stick with the X5. Although IMHO I think BMWs are much better and can still carry everything you would ever need it to.

If he is really set on a pickup truck, how about a Chevy Avalanche? I know that some people retch over the styling, but I used to own one. Has decent road manners for a big-butt truck (much better than the average standard pickup truck), you have the covered storage which is nice in the snow belt, a back seat when needed, and you can open it up to haul big stuff. It also tows well. I used to get 15-16mpg avg on the highway, around 13 in town. That is the down side, though it runs on the 87 octane stuff. I sold mine with 30,000 miles on it (was using the Touring more), and it had zero problems in the almost 3 years I had it.
