What to use to get free Broadband Live TV?

I noticed a guy in my class today that was watching the World Cup Live on his laptop. I asked him about it and he said he got this program called TVU and it allows him to watch Live TV for FREE. I asked if he had a copy of the disk or whatever and he said no.

Wondering if someone here knows about it or has any info for me? Thanks.

one of the reviews:

Free (Selected) Cable Channels
14-Jun-2006 10:59:57 PM
Reviewer: Mike McCally

Pros: This thing streams live video feeds from channels like ESPN, ESPN Sports, CNN, etc... Its Free!

Cons: Quality is a bit spotty but still visible and as it is P2P you have to open your ports.
