Advice/Recommendation for Leather Repair

Hi everyone,

I just noticed today that I have 2 pretty bad scratches/tears on the front seat on the passenger side. Don't know how it happened, but something scuffed the seat and took off the top layer of the leather. Does anyone have advice on how to repair this or recommend any products that would make the scratches less noticeable? I've attached a couple of pics that show the scratches. I searched the board, but I only found one thread that touched on the subject. Thanks in advance.

A lot of car detailers use the Leatherique products to restore minor tears and blemishes on leather upholstery.

Not sure how to fix it but that seems like something from metal buttons on hip pocket of pants/jeans. I learned the hard way on one of my earlier cars.

thanks asawa...I saw this on the other thread, but the problem the other guy had were cracks, so I didn't look too closely at this. They do have the dye, so that might be worth a try. I just hope it is permanent and won't come off.

Would you happen to have pics of what you did with the Sharpie? I've done that with shoes before, but not sure if I'd do that with the X because even though I've tried that on shoes, it's still noticeable. Thanks.

Find shoe polish that matches the leather. It won't repair the tear or blemish, but it will blend it in and make in almost undetectable.
