so i was a bit zippy on the highway...

and got a ticket tonight on my way back to hellhole, IN. I sent my passport radar detector in last week for a warranty replacement last week, so i was driving blind and forgot i didnt have it. Got pulled over for going 93 in a 70 limit zone, $130 worth.

In terms of points/driving record/report to insurance, would there be any differences because it was out of home-state?

btw, guess what was in the package waiting for me at my front door

steady speed...my car is VERY stable, imo even more so than the X. the highway was absolutely free minus a semi once in a while in the right lane.

yes the points can vary. Some states don't even use a point based system...at least that is what I heard from a cop friend.

insurance wise, will this get reported/hit the same? points only get recorded within the home-state right....so i wont get points from a ticket in indiana?

it shouldn't hit your insurance unless the state that you were ticketed in and your home state have a reciprocity deal. NY and NJ are reciprocal states, but CT isn't thank god, I got a speeding ticket in Hartford about 5 years ago, WAY over the limit, paid a hefty fine but my insurance carrier didn't find out.
