Congrats!

(why does she have the ring on her right hand in the picture of the 2 of you? or is that not the engagement ring? )

Very nice story. Good planning. Just remember, like PNG said, the planning from here on will be hers. Just go with the flow on that!

I'm with both knuckleheads...
my only 2Cts is that a $50-$100G
wedding is "remembered" only by the bride,
the groom and the bride's father.

I rec'd using the dough on something
"real", like a downpayment on a Joint.

I agree. However, no one believes that before their wedding. Easy to get caught up in the big wedding stuff. I think we all get caught up in it. Good luck what ever you do.

LOL I believe that and I'm not married! Why pay $50,000 to $100,000 to feed and entertain people who you really don't give a shat about? All they're going to do is pick apart everything anyway!

nicely executed....must take alotta courage to do something like that....good luck, (and i reccomend a shot glass with your names etched on it as memorabillia =x..that way who ever takes it home will always remember and not throw it away.) and yes...it is wise to utilize your cash in ways more justified.
