Well, since we don't have a Statedog on this site, I will assume you meant Statdoc (me).

Why do you assume I would be pissed off? Let me in on the secret.

I was raised baptist, and although I struggled questioning my beliefs as I became more educated, I now feel that religion (christianity in particular) is just santa claus for adults

Sad. Most of my colleagues agree that with even more education, any concerns we had about the power of the Creator disappeared.

If I understand your question; it appears to me that political correctness is the order of the day followed closely by fear that someone is gonna sue for one reason or another.( Wearing a head scarf because of your religion, or carring you 10 inch knife to name a few). There are a number of other personal issues that people are having to face because others believe they have a right to do this or that and the rest of us have to respect their choice. It is true that by being human people may have a right to do this or that but that dosn't mean others have to like it. But if you don't like it and say something about it your being intolerant. But you can rest assured that some of us believe in a faith that isn't 'observed' in the workplace or school, and there is NO push to have it observed by anyone in the workplace or school.

Interesting. I had a whole different take on lionkang's post. I read the word "religion" as "organized religion", not as "faith". To you they may be one and the same, no argument here. But they are not one and the same to everybody.
