Marriage is ending - she keeps the X
Anyway - after 12 years, it looks like it's all over except for the lawyers. She's going to keep the X - even if she doesn't know it and won't take my calls. In the nastiness that has been ensuing in the past few weeks, I'm pretty sure she took the iMac to a pro to see just what they could find on the hard drive. I cannot WAIT to explain FF and WWW to my lawyer!! LOL!!! Seriously, how much residue is left with constant memory maintenance (clearing cache, temp files, cookies, deleteing everything) on a Mac over a few years. I know what they COULD find, but what's likely? Anyway - I"ll still stick around here as best I can, and still support the site financially, but I will soon be X-less. In all seriousness, she's a great mother, and I want her and the boys in the car. In case anyone's curious, there's enough blame between the both of us to go around. Been there, done that - TWICE! I know the uncertainty that you're going through. Of my two divorces, one was cut and dry (my ex-wife was an attorney and we fashioned our agreement without attorney costs), but the second was just plain nasty. That one took several years to finalize. Whatever action ensues, just make sure that your sons are not caught in the middle. There is absolutely no way childen can rationalize their parents in a battle; they will internalize their worst fears and feelings because these situations are unthinkable to them. Be with them - talk with them - every day if possible so they can hear your voice of assurance.
It may be a worn out cliche, but there is a cloud with a silver lining. So just know that it's there and it's heading your way.  And by the way, single dads do just fine.... it's amazing how women adore the responsible types.  X5world is a good a place as any to get away from the madness... so X5 or no X5, who cares?
