I know its bad but i'm really pissed

We shoot 'em up here on the Mtn, if and only if, they become
very troublesome.

I'm not aware of your marksman skills, so maybe call a
hunter or the large pest guy.

-Traps, not humane and maybe not legal...
-Poison bait, probably not effective: they are
very smart and leery of "easy food" and the
poison would be dangerous.

I have a few guns in the safe you could pick
from.

Lambeau may have some ideas.

We shoot the rouge and aggressive ones.

in most places, it is absolutley allowed to shoot coyotes any time you want. they fall under the varmint category, and they are always in season.

that said, if you discharge a firearm in your neighborhood, you are going to jail. if you have never discharged a firearm, you are going to kill yourself or someone else - DON'T DO IT!

Poison in a residential area wouldn't be a good idea. I hate cats but some kids cat will eat the same thing a coyote will. Your best bet would be a pellet gun. You can get a very powerful one that will shoot at least 1000 feet per second. If you hit a coyote in the rib cage with that it will not kill it right away but it will in a matter of minutes. You must hit it right behind the shoulder when it's standing broadside to penetrate the heart/lungs. A pellet gun will be quiet enough where it shouldn't wake the neighbors. For $370 you could get this gun which will definately dispatch a coyote: http://cobraairguns.stores.yahoo.net/rws-2166150.html

I wouldn't want him shooting anything, anywhere outside of a range, without significant instruction.

Guns are NOT toys.. You can't just pick one up and expect you know how to use it from what you've seen in the movies. There's more to it than pointing it at what you want to kill and pulling a trigger. Why would you want to shoot ANYTHING in a residential neighborhood?
