I met Mel, for 5 mins, in Tokyo, when he was humping a movie that opened there; he was cordial, "interested" and one of the coolest looking guys I've ever seen in person. I've been a long time fan of his stuff and style, even when it became semi-self parody. His politics/religion, I avoid commenting on. The CEO gets lathered by his pic.
