You should have driven to the top. The views are even better. I have a house in Colorado Springs, and every time we take someone to Pikes Peak it always amazes me. Good pictures.

Thats Really Beautiful, I can't believe they let people walk around on those rocks from a liability standpoint, on a side note: do cell phones work up there? If not, I'm afraid I can't go :P

Great Pics and looks like a fine trip! After two runs up to the summit on Scoots, I will not do another, unless it's on that train or, in a rental 4 wheeler,  .The "road" is composed of a mini version of those granite slag heaps in your pics; just much smaller size stone. You did the right thing taking the train. SG, You get better looking by the year! BR,mD
