X5 & X3

Saw the neighbor's X3 in guest parking this morning, so I took the spot next to her and snapped a pic.

I was amazed at how big the X3 actually is. I am not all friendly with the neighbors, so I haven't asked her for a look inside or anything.

It's a 3.0 and not sure whether it's equipped with the sport package or not. Maybe Juan can figure it out, with the new X3 in the family and all.

I don't know whether it's got the Sport package or not, but I LIKE those wheels! They are different from the ones I saw in our dealership... maybe it DOES have the Sport package?

Nice ride, though. By the way, JV, it may be time for you to be a little more friendly to your neighbors -- especially female neighbors who drive a bimmer.

Actually, they have 3 Bimmers over there: that X3, an E46 sedan, and a Z3. I'll get right on it. Bake 'em some cookies or something to say hello.

Those are the SP wheels (style 113). X3 looks pretty descent next to the X5. It took some warming up to but I like the X3s. Holla at your neighbor JV.

That X3 does indeed have the SP. I actually like the way the X3 looks in most colors.

The rear looks neat especially. There is always room for improvement...such as:

Non-plastic bumpers
Restyled headlights (especially turn signals)
More aggresive hood lines (like on the X5)
More liberal use of interior trim
More visible exhaust trim (like on 330i)
Upgraded Valvetronic engines

There are, of course, certain things which BMW has done correctly since the beginning:

Active Xenons
No iDrive
Excellent utilization of interior space (cargo and person)
Neutral styling
Flame-surfacing on the side
xDrive system upgrade

Nah, Chris, they're not jerks, but because I work at night, and they all pull 9-5's, I never really get to interact with them. I should throw some meats on the grill and just invite everyone over sometime this summer. I did learn how to make a mean grilled duck from reading this board!

I'd have to keep that kinda request as earnest as possible, md, I don't think the X3 owner is a lady who is "oriented" my way, not that there's anything wrong with that. I am gonna tell her about the X3 board next time I see her outside as an "in" to take a look at the X3 though.
