Counting to 10....(link to pics added)

Well, the day started off fine, Joanna drives me into work (a few extra ZZZ's for me ). A couple of "happy" clients finally listened to me and their issues resolved.
Then I get a phone call from Joanna and the first thing out of her mouth is that I'm not going to be happy. At this point I'm thinking the dog did something as she'e been acting weird the past few days. Nope, not that, dog's fine. It turns out that my Dad ran an errand with his buddy and took my car. No big deal, my Dad's car was at the dealer for a recall and he got a yellow Caliber as a loaner. So I'd be looking for something else to drive too.
I guess on the way home, my Dad got cutoff and my baby got hit! I haven't seen the damage yet, all I got was the front fender, headlight and front bumper. Joanna said it doesn't look bad and my Dad says that they may need to send it to have the frame looked at. The doors all open and close OK, so I have no clue. I'm stopping by the body shop on my way home.
There is a slight good thing though....that front wheel had some slight curb rash and I need to install my radar detector, so since the bumper needs to be replaced, maybe I'll get those sensors in before it's mounted. Now might also be a good time to look at AE's.
Oh well, it's only plastic and metal, the most important part is that my Dad and his friend are fine, no bumps or bruises, just a little shaken up.

That totally sucks Eric, but glad to hear your dad and accompanying passenger are fine.

As long as Dad is OK it's all good. It does suck when your brand new baby gets hit but that's what insurance is for. It's only metal and can be fixed or replaced.

I hope your day gets better.

Sorry to hear, Eric. But you're looking at it the right way. The vehicle can be repaired or replaced (with a BMW, of course ), but the important thing is noone was badly injured.

Eric - Sorry to hear about the misfortune, but all in all everything that's broke is fixable, you can get your wheel replaced, your radar detector installed...AND, now you don't have to hold your breath any longer about getting your first "character mark." Glad to hear Dad's okay.

Mike
