Canada through to Rugby World Cup.....

Canada clinched a berth in next year's Rugby World Cup by thumping the United States 56-7 on Saturday.
Winger James Pritchard tallied 36 points and broke the national team record of 29 he set in Canada's previous qualifier against Barbados in June.
Canada, which have played in all five previous RWCs, will head to France and join Pool B with Australia, Fiji, Wales and an Asian side yet to be determined.
The United States faces an Americas regional playoff against Uruguay, with home and away matches in September and October for a berth in Pool A. The loser of that two-leg series will still have a chance to qualify in a repechage against a European or African team.

Figured by the thread name there wouldn't be any replies, because a) it's rugby and b) because usa lost

Next year's world cup is in France, and USA and Canada will both be there.....

New Zealand are currently the team to beat, but can they stay up for another year?

If you like Grid Iron, get yourself some tickets and go enjoy the game they play in heaven!!!!

As a French having grown up partly in south of France I used to never miss one single match of the (previously 5) now 6 nations tournament. Scotland and Ireland were the two teams which usualy played until the very end of the game with the most fighting spirit. I played Rugby in Toulouse (capital of the French rugby) for 4 years when I was in college. That was 6 years after the great and blond Jean-Pierre Rives left the "Stade Toulousain" and French national teams for retirement. When I was a little boy my hero was Gareth Edwards from the Welsh team and later Jean-Pierre Rives, two of the most famous rugby players of all times in my opinion. So many good memories! Unfortunatly since I moved to the USA 8 years ago the only way I can follow the 6 nations tournament or even the world cup is on the Internet.
