Newport

The 350 Chevy's are running great.

Cruise at 3000 RPM 21 Knots and 20 gal an hour.

Here is photo of the boat at Newport.

Nice boat, Blue.
Glad those 350 Chevs are running well.

(My Vette 350 runs like a monster, too, though it
"cruises" at 1700 RPM and burns about 2.4 gals/hr
at that 70 mph cruise speed.)

You need a real digi cam in lieu of your phone.
Thanks for the pics.

The phone was what I had at the time.

The install went ok the Chevy are shorter than the old Chrys so had to get new shafts. On the first shake down run the port engine would stall after running at speed. After blowing out the fuel line and installing new voltage gauges the boat is running well.

When you get done paying for the boat not much money left for the Car.
I have seen a number of boat owners driving old cluckers. Guess thats one reason I don't spend my money on mods.

Here is an interesting link

http://www.unifliteworld.com/navy.html

For a 34 year old boat it sure works well, guess the link to the Navy had something to do with it.

Blown a transmission on the boat this weekend.

Was going along fine and then the revs went up open the hatch and found trans fluid in the bilge. The work should be covered since the engines and transmission we new (transmission were rebuilt units) but it probally means a quick end to the boating season for this boat.

It got up to 50 degrees today, almost time to think about working on the boat.
