Calling All Creative People!

I am setting up a new private mortgage investment banking company and I have created a few logo designs for the business and i am seeking constructive feedback - please let me know what you think and feel free to offer your creativity.

The company is called JayCap Financial and its primary business is to provide short-term commercial financing (secured by a first mortgage instrument with a term of 18 months or less) more known as bridge financing for commercial construction, acquisition, etc.

The other key aspect to the business is to sell the mortgage to investors providing them with an above average rate of return. So my company serves 2 markets - the borrowers are typically commercial developers and realestate entrepreneurs - and investors, typically 35 -40 years old plus, has familiarity with real estate and mortgage investing and is interested in a moderate level of risk and return.

Red is not good for financial companies, stick with blue, it projects stability and confidence.

I like the logo with the pyramid to the left and text to the right.

i like the last row as for colors of the logo i think blue/gray is a nice combination however i would do it on a blue/gray background with white lettering (think Goldman and Morgan)

Thanks for the quick feedback, I really appreciate and value your opinions!

My target market at this time is Western Canada and perhaps Ontario, Canada. Arizona, would likely be my first move down south.

Just some quick advice, shrink down the images to see how they will look on Business Cards and Letterhead. Some of the images may not look good when shrunk down.

Last grouping, first one on top left. Since your company is new, the name is the most important thing right now. Once you get your name out there then the peripheral logo design can be nailed down. I also agree with trying to stay away from red for the same reason stated. (even in power point, never use red when talking about numbers).

IMHO the triangle to the left creates a cleaner look, while still showing your name. Plus it also offers just that little bit more of space when you use that as your letter head.
