Ahhh, what a great thread.
Interesting reading about all the big engined North American cars.
Different story here in the UK... You might need to Google a few of these! Lots of tat...

1981 Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTI (My fave car)
1985 Mk2 Volkswagen Golf (Not Bad)
1985 Volkswagen Jetta GTI (Fast but ugly)
1988 Suzuki Vitara 4x4 with pimped up body kit. (Not for off road despite the 4x4 title)

2002 Vauxhall Zafira (Better Dad car)
2004 Citroen C8 (Huge Dad car with electric everything)
2003 Renault Clio Expression (2nd car runabout)
2007 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 VTR+ EGS (Great car apart from electronic automatic gearbox = awful)

1998 Honda Hornet 600 (First big bike)
2000 Honda Hornet 600 (Knee down)
2002 Honda Hornet 900 (Elbow down)
2004 Aprilia RSV 1000 (Insane and awesome - Wrecked by helpful car driver)

CURRENT GARAGE...

2003 BMW X5 3.0i SPORT (This is the life)
1976 MGB Roadster V8 conversion (Offenhauser Manifold and Holley carb)

Nice list ...no ford cortinas in there?

I lived in Oxford for a while and had a Lancia Delta HF Integrale - an '89 with the 16V. It was a beast in its day....wish I could have brought it across the pond

It's great, no complaints. I've had 3 X5's it was time for a change.

It gets great mileage, pickup off the line is impressive due to 8 speed tranny and lots of low end torque, it feels like it drives more like a sports car probably because it's smaller than the X5, high 20's MPG, electronics are top notch (except for the 3 year old nav map data), it was less expensive than an X3 and came with more features (premium plus), insurance was less expensive too ( I don't know why).

I got a 2012 Phantom Black with Cinnamon interior, friends and family like it a lot.

No negativity towards BMW X3's or X5's, I was just ready for something different at this point. I'll be back with BMW at some point.

That's great to hear. I agree that Audi's navigation and old maps are not the best. I often catch myself ogling Audis too. I don't think I've seen a Phantom Black Q5 though.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
**updated, nothing special though...

69 ford F250 (big block beast).... sold after 8 years
83 nissan sentra (crap).... sold before I would have shot myself!
85 ford bronco (lifted mud monster).... sold to fellow muddin buddy.
93 mitsubishi eclipce (crap).... worst car ever suffered through
93 ford mustang 5.0 (1/4 mile toy).... fun, but had an offer I didn't refuse
89 bronco 5.8 (beast).... 13 sec 1/4 mile suv,(admittedly high 13's, but still) turned 12" lifted mud monster after sold

then I start working for BMW...

98 528i (for mom)
03 4.6is (new love!)
93 325is part 2 (bought previous car back for longer work commute)
1990 F250 "the $500 farm truck" 5.8, 5 speed manual, long bed. (just to ease the load on the X5 with the new property, no more home depot/lowes runs or dump runs etc.)

The Nav is outstanding, the POI's are old.

Phantom black pearl effect is like BMW's black sapphire metallic.
