Not really. He's only saying what others have already said. Privately it would have been taken in it's proper context and folks would have moved on. His problem in this case is that it was said in front of the ambulance chasers. (The media) and their only interest is making as much of an issue out of it as possible just as some on this site will do. OMHO it's a nothing story. On the same line as the Paris Hilton DUI story.

even Garcia said she was a "hot-blooded" latina and agreed that it was not offensive. My wife having worked with Angelides on quite a few CA syndicate bond measures agreed that he's just trying to grasp whatever he has to TRY to loosen Arnold's foothold. Arnold despite what everyone else says has been quite successful at being bipartisan which is admirable.

And he says that Arnold is an embarassment to California. Yeah right

you're right and it will probably be over before the weekend's over, but some of things that leaks out on what he says are amazing...i guess he just needs a bit more tact if he plans on recording himself, since he is a public figure under the intense scrutiny of the media.

considering she's republican as well, it probably wouldn't have been wise if she publicly took offense to what the Governator said during his re-election campaign.

A big to this story. It's a big fat nothing of a "story" and unfortunately being used by Angelides in a pathetic attempt to stir up racial diviseness and the very liberal LA Times is just trumpeting it for their own reasons.

I have met Bonnie Garcia and work with her ex-husband. Her comments about the Governator's statement should be the end of it. The moment has passed, time to let it go.
