I wouldn't buy either one, I'm more than happy with my Cowon IAudio 60GB....
Competition is good, it will drive down the prices not only for MP3 players but hopefully for CF and SD memory as well.

I just thought it was a well written article that shows what Microsoft has planned regarding the rollout and weather the venture will be successful. OBTW I read the review on your player. Interesting. http://reviews.cnet.com/Cowon_iAudio...-31609819.html

I just got a new iPod and they are very impressive. Apple has been smoking MS for a long time. Now that Apple is cool and they have shed the image of high priced boutique computing they are now getting some mainstream coverage.
I expect Vista will be nothing more than window dressing on a seriously dated OS. Now that word is out that OSX is the most secure and trouble free OS available, I don’t expect MS will be able to hold the home consumer to much longer. As computers are replaced the driving force will be ease of use and security, both of which MS has totally screwed up and that is what people remember. I think home consumers will not want more of the same beating they have taken for years with Viruses, Rootkits and spyware. Businesses will be slow to change, they have entire departments that depend of systems to fail and security to be monitored, no need for them to get rid of job security. The Zune is just another attempt to slow the iPod down, Virgin, Dell and Sony have all tried and failed to make the smallest of dents in the iPod dominance. MS with a reputation for crap products and weak design is going to attempt to take on 60 million already installed iPods? |

Zune appears to be DOA. http://biz.yahoo.com/seekingalpha/06...7_id.html?.v=1
