What's the latest and greatest in cellphones?

I'm getting a little bored of my Razr and at times want to fling it across the room so I'm starting to think about the next phone. I'm on an old AT&T SIM card and want to keep it that way so I'll be wanting an unlocked GSM phone.

What's out there to start drooling over?

This looks quite nice. It's expected to be about US$220 when it comes out soon.

The iPhone.

Whatever you decide, Kevin, I'd wait for a couple months. Cingular is supposed to announce their new 3G broadband network sometime in Ocotober or November, which is as fast as EVDO. (EDGE does not compare.) Supposedly, they've been deploying the infrastructure in major markets in the last two years, and should be able to "turn it on" later this year.

Q isn't GSM... 'yet' thanks verizon...

Hottest phone? I'd say the Sony Ericsson K800i is pretty hot. But maybe i have a bias. It takes pretty good 3 megapixel pictures too.

depends on what you want out of your phone. i need to consolidate all my devices so i went with the treo

the treo is still one of the best out there. we have them ALL at my company and have to figure out how to hook them all up to corp email/services...

the Q sucks. 10 out of 10 people tried it returned it. its that simple.

treo gives you the most flexibility. i use mine to provide wireless internet for my laptop when i'm on the road. tons of programs that do anything you want it to do... plus the regular office tools work as expected. downside is the OS is buggy and locks itself causing a reboot about once every 2 weeks for me. i have the treo650 palm, and want to move to dr kewl's treo700p. not the winblows version...

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not ready to do right now anyway.

One device would be great but I'm going to have to be two-phoning it. I have a Blackberry 7520 because I need Nextel for work, and that is a work-issued phone, and my Razr for all my many big pimpin' personal calls. It would be nice to be like Kewl and have the Treo 700. Since I have to carry two phones and the Blackberry is a boat anchor, I'd like my other phone to be fairly small.

My cousin recently got the Samsung D807- Cingular. Very nice, full featured, slim slider-phone.
