Then he ought to say what he meant because he missed the point in this case. But arrogance has the ability to render blindness to those in power and sorry to say that’s how Mr. Bush comes off. I'm sure he has a difficult job, and he may be a nice man however he anger at the comments of others weather justified or not only set in stone the opinion many have of him regarding his inability to grasp how his attitude affects others. Please realize this has nothing to do with the so-called war on terror. It has to do with the perceived character of Mr. George W Bush. That’s what others must deal with and sorry to say many don't like dealing with it and in all honesty would rather get a stick and try to hit him with it.

I do understand that Mr. Bush has a character problem, regardless, I believe he's trying to do the right thing. If he ended the sentence at "Don't think", that would be one thing. His point was that Americans shouldn't be compared to terrorists because there simply is no comparison to make. Even if we torture, beat, and behead our prisoners, there is still no comparison in my opinion. If it takes torture to get critical information out of prisoners, then get on with the torture...

We can’t really say regardless. How we effect others will result in how they behave and no matter how much someone believes that someone is trying to do the right thing if his behavior belies his intentions then all is lost. Others then are put off by that behavior to the extent that whatever credentials he brings to the table will be ignored. It may be that Mr. Powells statement may as well have been pointing right at George Bush because if it is true that Mr. Bush has this character problem then it is very possible that many others believe that the man who represants America may well be demonstrating a character problem of America. We may know that to be untrue but as an ambassador it appears at least IMHO Mr Bush has a huge problem.

I enjoy watching Countdown, largely because of Olbermann's ascerbic cynicism and wit, not necessarily for his ideology. The battle of the O's (Olbermann vs O'Reilly) is especially amusing.

Then he should apologize to the entire Planet for his regim.. urr-Administration being responsible for having made the world an even unsafer place since 9/11.

That being said, my point is that those in the media who have a background and are educated in a certain topic have credibility. Those who don't should STFU about expressing personal opinions as 90% of the US population are sheep who listen to the pretty people on TV who use small words and short sentences.

Akin to this b.s. is going to a concert, like Springsteen say. I pay money to hear that guy sing, I couldn't care less about his political beliefs. Under no circumstances do I want to hear his political b.s. and he's ripping me off and stealing my money by spouting during a CONCERT. unfortunately, the mindless in the audience will listen to his crap and potentially vote his way because they like "darkness on the edge of town" instead of because they're educated about both sides of an issue.

That's just my .02....

So what's your plan to change the world? Besides sitting home and complaining?

Just curious.
