2007 Models

As far as I can tell the only PWC that is different for 2007 is the following:

2007 KAWASAKI JET SKI ®ULTRA® 250X

http://www.jetski.com/article.cfm?id=697

Bet it is the fastest ski and will eat the lunch of even the SKIDO

the head is on a distinguished road
I have primarily rode Kawasakis (even raced an 1100 Zxi for a bit in the late 90s) the Ultra series will dominate with thier new engine...personally I have gone to longer hulled skis mainly because being able to maintain a speed of 60 plus in rough water is more fun than taking out a small piece and while having a higher top speed wont be able to keep up...My current is an 04 F-15X 1500cc four stroke in smooth water with my 260lb ass on it I can hit between 68 and 70 in rough water about 66 or 67 consistant and the thrust from the 1500 four stroke is way more fun than its two cycle brethren

Based on that article, 70 mph is abit disappointing since everyone was waiting for a skidoo killer. The current SD rxp runs 71 - 72 mph from the showroom. Would be interesting race but at least there's competition now.

I agree with you a bigger 'softer ride' is what really counts. They talk about the Kawasaki having a new hull but its hard to tell what that means?

Its sad but the old article from popular mechanics seems to be the only meaningful test.
Most stories are nothing but puff.
