5 nothing, I know its just the pitcher having the game of his life.

Still hope the Mets have a good game tonight.

I think it has more to do with confidence and trust....

I mean when the Yankee starting pitchers are giving up so many runs that early in the game it kind of screws up with the gameplan and the batters have less of a greenlight...and also psychologically it helps out the Detroit pitchers a lot because they have more room for error

But..Beltran? Sure he would have helped, but I don't think he would have been the deciding factor in a victory...we have enough allstar batters, we just need some friggin pitchin! Should have started Wang tonight not Wright

Guess you are right but the Yanks were playing stronger than the Mets at the end of the season.

Was hopping for a subway series

I honestly was hoping for Dodgers v.s Yankees LOL...I knew it was far fetched to begin win but one could hope right?

Assuming the Dodgers/Yankees get eliminated tonight I'll be rooting for Oakland and the Mets

Also I heard somewhere that it was possible A-Rod would be traded to the Marlins for Dantre Willis...what ya think about that?

Bet george is smoking mad.

I wonder if A rod and others willing be coming back.

Sometimes money does not buy happiness.

OK...Yankees are basically eliminated, down 7-0 and still without a HIT!!

It's absolutely certain now that A-Rod must go, make sure Matsui doesn't break his wrist again so we can get a full season out of him...our starting pitching rotation could be Wang/Mussina/Willis and fillers, hopefully with a different outcome next year

Sadly......and who cares if there's 10 players on the Mets who couldn't make the AAA Yankees team...fact is they won just as many regular season games as the Yankees, are still alive and have the advantage in the playoffs with less of an all-star cast + all the injuries in the postseason

I'm still a Yankee fan over the Mets but I'll give credit where it's due, as Yankee fans we can always look on the bright side..the Red Sox didn't make the playoffs!

Feelgood you seem like a reasonable person my last comment was meant for all those Yank fans with attitude. I am not a Yankee hater though I must say the Sox win was interesting.
