I'm still a Yankee fan over the Mets but I'll give credit where it's due, as Yankee fans we can always look on the bright side..the Red Sox didn't make the playoffs!
I'm not bashing the mutts, i'm bashing blue...

That's a typical "yankee hater" comment. Here's how the scenario usually goes:

non-Yankee fan taunts yankees fan
yankees fan defends team
non-yankees fan claims yankee fan is an arrogant sob for standing up for their team.

It's the ridiculous double standard that non-yankees fans can bash the crap out of the yankees at will and expect yankees fans to just sit there and not say a word, and if they do? they're labeled as arrogant.

Whatever, I'll just leave you with this:

The Yankees problem is age, not any specific player. They are filled with vetran players who are no longer hungry. And of course they need better and younger pitching.

Back in the late 1990s, while they did not have all the superstar names that are on the current roster, they had young players who were hungry and who were clutch.

Alex Rodriguez is not the problem. While he had an awful series, so did Cano, Shefield and Giambi. ARod actually has a career postseason batting average of over .300. He just had a bad series. Back in the 2004 postseason, he was awsome and hit over .400. And in 2001 with Seattle he also hit over .400 in the postseason.

What the Yankees need to do is to get younger. I really liked how they brought up Melke Cabrera this year, and how both Wang and Cano developed into great players. They need to continue doing this.

Next year they are expecting Philip Hughes to be in the starting rotation. For all those who do not know who he is, he is the top pitching prospect in all of baseball and is only 20 years old. This season his minor league numbers looked like this:

12-6, 2.16 era, 146 innings pictched, 168 strikeouts, 34 walks, opposing batters hitting .179 against him

For next season, they have one too many outfielders. Hopefully they will trade one of the older ones in the offseason (not Melke Cabrera) for some pitching help.

I'm sure the Dodgers would love A-Rod...I'd think he'd shine in LA too, so why not trade A-Rod + fillers for Brad Penny + fillers

That's just a guess, he could also be saying "i need a tissue", you never know.....

I'm not sure the Dodgers would take on his contract.
