Well Iran is obviously on their way to a nuclear weapon with little blocking them aside from a useless United Nations. Here is a quick question, why are the surrounding areas in the middle-east so calm as Iran builds a way to a nuclear arsenal? Doesn't bode well for yea old Western Civilization.

I'm still sleeping well at night...any entity who would actually use any kind of nuclear device (or attempt to use; see notes on North Korean missile test) would basically give the receiving party carte blanche to drive the entire US arsenal up their rear end. (that's why it's called an arsenal). It'd be like the first day of summer vacation for Dick an' Rummy.

Giving the Persian Hitler guy benefit of the doubt, Iran, as do all other petro-based economies, have a very real concern on how to prevent their entire economies from imploding in the event the world leaves a carbon-based economy behind sooner than expected. We, the US, stand to gain everything.

We forget that Iran is actually a country of very progessive and Western-oriented Persians who have no love for the mullahs. Look around Tehrangeles, CA...these folks love life, they've just got a nut job at the helm, and unlike Hitler, Imajimmyboob, or whatever his name is, has no Luftwaffe, no Panzer divisions, no munitions factories, etc.

I think we all need to be more concerned with the steel economic spike being slowly hammered up our lower intestines by the Chinese Communists.

Because there is actually no evidence they are building a nuclear arsenal.

My understanding is that their nuclear facilities are entirely open to UN inspections, and even the Iranian public can tour them. If that is the case, then they are not violating any international laws or treaties. The NPT gives them the right to develop nuclear energy.

Of course, I'm sure there are allegations of "hidden" facilities where the nuclear arsenals are being created. Maybe they can bring him back to show us some maps of Iran and where these secret facilities are. I'm sure most Americans would believe him...
