AlexZ: I'm just here...we had our first day of our 3 day,end of season
Ryder Cup type event today: ball chasing until one's hands are raw.

I need a medicinal single malt, (maybe 2), some dinner, some vino,
a fookin hot shower and I'll be back with links and opins to drive
ya'll crazy...

for starters, I've been to Luray and to Endless Caverns and I think
Endless Caverns is less commercial, more interesting, etc., fwiw.
Link: http://www.endlesscavern.com/

I'll be back this eve, with more of my usual rambling opins.

Alex,
This site is slower than molasses for me this eve...

Rather than drag this out on the board, I'll PM you
some ideas and routes on Sat am.

Question: you are driving down Sat night?
When are you trying to drive some roads? Sunday,...
Give me a rough idea of your sched., here or, by
PM.
Back at you first thing Sat am.

I know radar detectors are illegal in VA, what about west VA?
are there any specific roads that are known for their speed traps?
thanks

Alex,
You are welcome...I PM'd you back.

Bird dogs are illegal in VA, but we've done
literally hundreds of trips through there with ours;
the key is to not have it blatantly visible and if one
got pulled over, to discretely ditch it under seat or
in Wife's purse. Yeah, the urban myth is that some
VA troopers have "detector detectors", but our 5 yr
old Passport Solo is not leading edge tech, and we
have never been "detected." Or, skip using it in VA
as you are scenic driving anyway.

Bird dogs are legal in VA.
