W's are W's.

Once the powerplay starts clicking they're going to be even better.

If you want to talk about flukes, let's talk about Forsberg's continuing habit of "flopping", i.e. leaning into the D'man and falling over to draw a ridiculous non-penalty penalty. It's laughable.

huh? forsberg doesnt flop. he's perennially one of the toughest players in the nhl...played hurt in colorado, philly, olympics. floppers are hossa, nylander, straka, jagr. forsberg plays d and can take /give a hit.

i know youre a rangers fan but cmon...no one calls forsberg a flopper who knows hockey. actually i agree with you, forsberg flopping is a fluke

You have got to be kidding.

This has nothing to do with who I root for, I might be a Rangers fan, but I'm a fan of the game too, moreso NCAA college hockey than pro even!

The issue here isn't whether Forsberg takes/gives hits, or whether he plays hurt, the issue is the he is a HUGE flopper, it's known throughout the league.

It's so well known that there is an entire site devoted to the Colorado DIVEalanche... http://www.divealanche.com/1h_gloss.html from when he was playing there.

Check out the entry for "forsberg flop" :

Forsberg Flop (aka Floppa) -
To take a dive when there is no opposing player within five yards of you. Note: In some cultures the term is slang for loss of erectile function.

Yes, I know that that site is a joke but still, Forsberg is known for the "leaning into the defenseman and falling down" play, as well as throwing himself on the ice after being lightly touched.

The funny thing is that you accuse Jagr, Straka, Nylander and Hossa of being floppers and then accuse me of not knowing hockey, pretty funny.

Here are some more comments about Floppaberg:

March 20, 2003
Speaking to Fox Sports, Calgary's Denis Gauthier drops a howler that could have come straight from our site: ""If you blow on Forsberg, or he runs into a soft breeze, he's over in a heap. He embellishes everything. Those kind of guys drive me crazy. And he always seems to get the call. Isn't it obvious what he's doing? In (Calgary) earlier this year, I touched him coming around the boards — 'rubbed' would be too strong a term — and suddenly all kinds of stuff is happening. His stick's down at the other blue-line and one of his gloves is up in the third row and he's lying on the ice like he'd been shot from close range!"

Gee, who is Denis Gauthier? Well, he used to play for Calgary, but now, whoops, he plays for the flyers.... I wonder if there's a bit of tension in the Flygirls locker room because of his feelings about Forsberg.

Remind me again about how I don't know anything about hockey...

You are the first person that I've ever heard call Jagr a "flopper".
