Sanguru. I need your advice about a new purchase

Sanguru or anyone else who can help me here.

I was looking for 360s today then I came across a 2005 Lambo Gallardo. It has 400 miles on it and never registered. Brand new. Very nice car. What are your opinions on this car compared to the ferrari. I love it but I dont like the AWD. And its very flashy. I think even flashier than a Ferrari. But I love the 500hp V10. Its an animal. It has a Tubi exhaust already on it.

They are asking 150k to purchase or lease for 1700 per month 10k down 36 month lease. I am really considering this car. They are much easier to find than a ferrari also. So what do you think about the deal. Is it too much money for it? I think it sounded like a good deal. I have not negotiated at all on this. These numbers are his first offer. so im sure i can get him down at least a little bit more.

By the way are there any good websites or forums online for lambo owners where i can get some info?

That sounds like a great price for an '05. I have seen $155k, but not $150k yet. Is it a 6-speed or e-gear? '04's are going for $135k to $140k. Most people think that the prices will drop in the next couple of months because winter is coming up, so serious sellers are reducing their prices if they need it sold before the end of the year.

What color is it? Clear bonnet? The AWD actually is a pretty good feature, saved one of our friends from spinning out on a drive a few weeks ago.

The best web site for Lambo's is www.lambopower.com. Good luck, it's a beautiful car

Its got E-gear which is what I want. By the way are they reliable with E gear?
No the bonnet is not clear. At least I dont think it is. I didnt really look because I thought lambo didnt offer that feature like the Ferraris do. AWD is definately a great safety feature. But I just love RWD. Thats the main reason I buy BMWs. thanks for the info

I love the Gallardo. A couple of my friends have them and they love them. much more higher tech than the 360. The v10 is very smooth and pulls very hard. 05's are a good choice because of the lift system in the front (raise the front end on entrance or exit ramps so you won't scrape). Also, they made a quite a few updates on the Egear and updates on the gearing and ECU. Overall great price as 150K is right in the ball park (actually a couple grand low) of where you want to be depending on options. For the lease price though, something is not adding up even with 10K down. it should be more like in the low 2000's range. I have no idea why you hate AWD. On a recent drive, one the guys show AWD superiority when coming into a turn too hot. When all the other cars had to brake hard, the gallardo just pulled right through and gripped and gained traction on the inner wheel. It was amazing.

Yep, and we forgot to mention that a S2000 on the same drive spun out on that same turn and scraped up the car.
