IMHO you've got a worm/trojan.

Delete all of your offline IE content and cookies, then do a full system scan with the machine in safe mode and not connected to the internet.

You've got me worried now. I routinely run Ad-Aware, I run Spywareblaster, and I run Norton AV regularly and I've got nothing coming up. I even run Hijack This to see what's starting up.

I'm going to go home and blow up my computer.

Oh, and the basic specs:

P4 3.0 HT
1 GB RAM
Windows XP Service Pack 2, can't remember what specific version of that.

My Norton AV is the Corporate Edition and is much simpler than the shite that you get "free" with new PC's. I like it too because it doesn't expire every year and I can still live update it.

Before you blow anything up, let's make sure you're looking at the right variable:

Are you looking at PF (page file) useage? or RAM ? and do you have multiple MS Office apps open at the same time when you're checking task manager?
