vw passat 99 takes 1 sec to start, x5 takes 0.5 sec
hi just wondering, my vw (86k km) used to start faster than 1 sec, lately i noticed that it's taking about 1 sec to start. however, the x5 2003 (80k km) starts really fast, like 0.5 sec. just wondering what could be causing the passat the start slower than before. should i use those so called fuel cleaners on the passat? thank you

starter, spark plugs, wires, coil...etc...anything electrical probably not the fuel.

Change your spark plugs and inspect your coil pack. VW coil packs are notorious for being shitty... I had mine replaced in a 2000 VR6, then eventually reimbursed by VWoA because they did a recall.
