I just got back from the Town Hall.. I registered and voted for the first time! I live in a tiny town (2500 people or so) and there were lines and it was packed. Also, I think almost all the kids in my class who are 18 voted today. Some were even late to school because they were at the polls at 7:00 AM to cast their vote! I think it's a very good sign. There is NO reason not to vote! If you don't vote, what is the point of living in a democracy?

I always take my kids with me, and then drop them off at school. They are always late on election day, but they get a pass when they tell the teachers I had them go with me.
Today, I was telling my 9 year old that I bet only about 30% of registered Floridians will vote. She says "isn't it a right - no a responsibility - to vote?". That's why I take them with me. I also tell them that when they turn 18, if they rally their mates, they can take power from us geezers - they can't wait!
