So your saying a bumper slamming into your window vs your drivers door will make no difference? Hmm, I mean yes you take into account speed and other factors but an apples to apples comparison, I can bet you would see a more favorable outcome with a lower bumper height impact

you were talking survival initially in the circumstance of live or die it makes no difference as I said unless the vehicle is run over any car that is small enough to be run over (ie fiero, del sol, crx, metro, etc) by a hummer is going to be pried off of the front of a bmw or other suv anyway because of mass

the only thing that changes in injuries is broken arms instead of broken legs plus when you hit the door the glass still breaks which still causes the lacerations (along with the airbags) to the face upper torso and forearms are applicable in either situation plus in the case of the H2 it will hit the door as well with it's skidplate

Very interesting, what about if the vehicle is equipped with side curtain airbags?

the head is on a distinguished road
they greaty reduce lacerations because they protect from the flying glass and debris I havent seen an accident bad enough involving a car with side curtians to guess on the prevention of any other types of injuries
