right now theres not that many shelby 500 around and dealers are getting up to $60000 for the car.I aint paying that. I found a 07 corvette for 45000.Im going to keep looking around.

Before you go plunking down you cash-o-la, why don't you go test drive for a day, the Hertz Shelby Mustang.
I rented one, and can tell you, no gold paint, extra HP, cold air intake, suspension, etc. can turn a POS mustang into something other than a faster POS mustang. Just remember, you can't polish a turd.

For $50-60k you could also build or buy a pre-owned kit AC Cobra (with a 427 side oiler or any big block for that matter) that could put out 500-600hp and run circles around just about anything on the road.

Very hard to beat a Vette for the dough, imo...
'Stang is fast, but early '90s handling from what I've read and Mustangs are very "different" from most go fast/sports cars. That Cobra idea is a good one, but it will be truly a sunny Sunday car, as opposed to being able to toss golf clubs/soft luggage and go for a weekend. Dollar-wise, the easy way out is: $10-$12Gs for a UJM Scoot that will suck the headlights outta any real world car, lol! GL,mD
