Can a news (like CNN) video be saved to disk?

Sometimes you can call CNN and ask for a copy and they will send it to you, the local news did that for my mom's best friend when her child was on tv, try that or just record it

Look for a program called video downloader on the net. It allows you to record a live feed of any video posted or avail that I know of and it becomes an add on in your browser (I use FIREFOX)

Hi X5Jay, none of the suggestions above will help you! I'm a video format junkie so here is what I know. Cnn videos are windows media streams. Videodownloader will certainly not work on that. You need to record the stream as it happens. The only program that I've gotten to work is wm recorder: http://www.wmrecorder.com/ It tricks the streaming server into thinking it's a web browsers and saves the stream to file.
