When they switch to the view from inside the truck, the hood looks like it has a hood scoop on it with the intake facing the windshield... true?

G: I think that shot was done by someone riding on the roof; we are just seeing the air intake cowling that is on either side of hood, below windshield squirters. Both X3 & X5 have considerable water "height", espc. for short distances and/or not standing in water. If the air induction nozzle stays dry, it will cross deep water with little effort. I have done it after Hurricanes Ivan & Frances, in the mtns, 2 summers ago. Pretty impressive. BR,mD |
