Can I ask a dumb question? Where is the gear shift? Looks like its on the steering column? Or am I just really confused?

The engine in that beast is built by hand by an engineer in Germany and then he signs it......on that plate on top of the engine cover lies his signature....that truck is sweet...I checked one out at MotorWerks in Barrington, Il last weekend......

I saw one of these on Wilshire not too long ago, it looked (and sounded, even at low RPM) absolutely MENACING.
my gf has a black ML 350, and i have finally reluctantly conceded that i really do like its looks a lot -- not nearly as minivan-ish as the prior generation, in fact, I'd say it looks downright muscular finally; and ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more luxurious inside than my X lol. My ONLY complaints are the powersteering: to use a phrase I saw in Road & Track (?) to describe another Benz, it feels more numb than a severed limb. I hope the AMG version fixes that?! Otherwise, even the little 350 is fast -- FEELS nearly as fast as my 4.4 X!!!! point: if this AMG version addresses the steering issue, and can perform as well as claimed -- see Tiff's little review from Fifth Gear -- www.racingflix.com , just recently posted -- then wow, $86K is not bad at all considering a Cayenne Turbo S goes for $120K or so

Nice ride! A friend of my CEOs bought one and they love it so much and just added a second one. Now my CEO wants one as well - guess we'll be doing some early X-mas shopping.
Besides friends that enjoy it, I don't know much about them - reliability etc. Any good info out there? |

I was in NY last week and was able to testdrive it. My X3 is slow as shit compared to that beast. As soon as I move back to NY im without a doubt buying an ML63.

With all the problems I have had with highend MB cars I would never own one
my W220 S600 has yet to go an oil change interval without something major going wrong The SL55 has constant problems with the TPMS and suspension the only reliable MB i have is my MK I CLK430 CAB no major issues ever just change the oil and keep on driving |
