treo phone holder

Any one with pics/info on good/nice holder for treo phone?

i just ordered one from proclip (www.proclipusa.com). ordered the vehicle mount first (but haven't installed it yet) and just placed an order for the device holder (a treo 700 version that should also fit my new 680).

i can post pics once i get it set up. i like the proclip option because you don't have to modify the dash to install it - it just pops in between seams...

Another option is Arkon. I have bought a few things from them before and gotten good aftersales service from them.

i got this one from best buy, except it is black. it holds the treo perfectly at it's widest. i turned off the driver side center vent and have it clipped there. it's in perfect position to see the treo w/o taking your eyes off the road.

that proclip looks pretty nice. let us know how it turns out (pics too). the only thing I'm hesitant about is the clip scratching the trim

i hope the proclip mount arrives by the end of this week. have some time set aside to install the base mount this evening. will take pics of both...

They will not have a true treo 680 holder until sometime in early 07. The Proclip offices are about 5 miles from my office. It makes it really nice to go and test and pick up different clips.

unfortunately, i have absolutely no patience whatsoever when i want accessories for my new gadgets.

the palm site gives the dimensons of the 700p as 2.3in X 4.4in x .9in and the dimensons of the 680 are 2.3in x 4.4in x .8in. i don't think that tenth of an inch difference in depth will cause me any problems...

so, my treo cradle showed up earlier than expected and i installed everything last night. it took literally 2 minutes to pop the base mount in and then screw the phone-specific holder on to that. no tools required (except for a plastic gap opener included with the mount), no scratches on my dash, and i didn't need to use the included adhesive strips. the mount itself doesn't move around at all and is very firmly in place. the phone holder screws securely into the mount and doesn't come into contact with anything else.

attached are pics of the mount + holder alone, then some with my fabulous copper treo.

oh, and the flash emphasizes the dust on my dash. i swear it's not that bad in person. my x is due for a cleaning after this bout of rain passes...
