I actually remember Thursday, another one of those "transition" days. It was 49F when I stepped out to school in the morning, 56F when I stepped into office. Then the cold front came along. It was 53F when I got into my X3 at the end of work.....I drove and drove and drove about 20 miles west and saw the outside temp plummet in the X3. When I got to my destination, it was 37F.

The consistency in the bread crumbs, It's never thick enough. I put olive oil, garlic, cheese, I will try adding parsely that sounds good.

I do steam the hell out of them, i even use a chicken stock in the water to give it an extra "bite". The problem is, the bread crumbs are often to dry or oversaturated by the time it is done.

And no, the lemon butter sauce isn't for the arties !! It's for the veal or chicken. Again, I have a problem getting the right consistency on the lemon butter sauce. I try to make it "bread dipping" thick but it usually comes out toooo buttery!

-- We make a mean Linguini white clam sauce though.. I've never tried to make baked clams at home. I'm sure it's not hard, I would want to make way to many of them.. Like 5 dozen, lol...

I love artichokes though!!! So I didn't quite get it, do you or don't you mix olive oil in with the breadcrumbs? I thought the olive oil was supposed to just be sprinkled on at the end...

If you put olive oil in the breadcrumb mixture it keeps the breadcrumbs moist. Nothing worse than dry arties.

I agree, but is this a must? I still seem to recall my mother putting the olive oil on at the end. Could have been a little extra I suppose...

I don't know if it's a must. That's how I make them.

As far as the tree, I guess Blue means that if we winter haters go to Rock to see the tree we'll feel so much better about winter. Maybe even get into the Christmas spirit.
