Comp package on the M3, not all its cracked up to be?

I was reading the latest BIMMER magazine review of the comp. package for the M3 saying that aside from nicer brakes and cool int. components there wasn't much to it. Anybody out there have one?

in 2 words.. hell no.

marketing compaign to bump up the price on a a moderately spec'ed car. the same money on a self spec'ed m3 will smoke the zcp m3 in every way. only thing zcp has is its a special series from bmw...

same thing as mini cooper s 40 specials.. overly priced special series that one can do much better by one's self.

The only things I like about is are the wheels, which you can add to any M3, and the availability of Interlagos Blue because it's nice and it's unique. Other than that, I'd agree with Hayaku. There are lots of goodies you can add to an E46 M3.

psst.. you can get BETTER wheels that look the same. RAC Monolites RG4's. They were designed off the CSL wheel but have way better offsets, wider, and are the strongest a wheel can be made currently. the RG4 will fit brembo/ap/stoptech/alcon bbk's without spacers.

that crap about track-mode dsc is pure crap. anyone that tracks turns that bothersome slow-u-down thing off...

I love those RAC wheels. Doesn't Chuck have a couple of sets of those for his M3. I wish they made a fitment for the Boxster or I would have considered buying a set of those.

the RAC wheels are made by Champion Motorsports in FL. They have exclusive rights to use the name "Monolite" from Champion. Champion specializes in porsche wheels so you can get that. The BMW RS110 is the same Champion RS110 wheels made to fit the M3. I was considering a set for ketchep but then i found my BBS Motorsport Race wheel deal... now i'm hooked on them and want another set...

Yeah, I read the same article last night.

1st, it was confirmed from the E46 M3 RF crew and BIMMER mag that all 2005 M3 (ZCP or not) has the same suspension (well, at least the 12/04 production on)

One of the things BMW did was reduce understeer, but according to Bimmer magazine, they feel that they did it by making the front springs a little softer and also it seems that the ride height of the front is a little higher. Thus, theride is a little better, but the '05 M3 has a little more body roll.

Agree with Hayaku, just get your own suspension/wheels/brake kit and you'll get your money's worth rather than checking on the ZCP box if you are going to track the car.

You can always check it out @ http://www.hayakuracing.com/ !!

Speaking of RAC Wheels....
