They have improved, greatly. I have used electrics as my primary shaving device since I started shaving (bought my first from Thomas Edison, himself. ). The original Noelco shavers were cute on the Christmas TV commercials, but didn't shave very close. I would find myself using a cheap Bic blade when I had to look more presentable. Now, I don't even consider using a blade ever, because the newer Braun's are that good.

Thumbs up Braun's are the best

I have been using Braun shavers for over 20 years. I started with a Remmington and never went back once I tried the Braun. I even gave the Norelco a shot 10 years ago, but found it did not compare with the Braun. Although a blade provides a very close shave, the Braun is faster and more convenient.

About a month ago, Kohls sent out bonus sale coupons and mine was good for an additional 30% off the sale prices. I asked my wife to pick up a new 360 if it was less than $100. Here comes the good part . . . Kohl's had them marked down from $225 to only $75 before my 30% additional discount. When I got home that evening found out about the price, I drove to Kohl's to buy one for a relative . . . but they were sold out of 360s.

I have been using the 360 for more than a month now. Although it does not shave closer than my "old" Braun, it does not bog down on Sunday if I skip shaving on Saturday (thick beard).

I highly recommend the Braun shavers. FWIW, even CR rated the 360 best. The cheapest I have seen the 360 (since my fantastic deal) is about $140 in the Sunday ads.

Here is a tip for the self cleaning unit. Save the lid that comes on the cleaner. Open the cleaning fluid only when the shaver flashes "low charge". Clean and charge the shaver. Remove the cleaning fluid container and cover it up again. I have been doing this for years with my previous Braun and you only need about two cleaning fluid containers per year.

Sorry for the deley in replying

Yes it is good I dont think the extra blade thing they say gives you a closer shave does anything, but it is as good as my old one I used to have before I tried the philshave, but I asked my girlfriend and she said it was the best shave I have had for ages so I guess there is your answer!!!

I have the Braun 360 but find myself more and more using blades, just not that close of a shave.
