As for tasteless, I saw an X in London last week, and it made me want to puke...This idiot had what MUST have been 23" Chrome spinners on the thing, and NOTHING else...I mean, no other goodies, so it just looked the guy was trying to make his X look more expensive?

I mean, WHY?! 100 grand for one of those things over here, (literally) and he puts an extra 5 on it to make it ugly...And what you guys will REALLY not believe, is that X's COME with type 132's over here!! AARRGHHH!!!

He says it was white X5. Not on a 3.0. And this is not much different from those who remove 3.0 badge after putting the 4.8 kit so that they can pass off as 4.8. Someday a Tourag or base Cayenne driver wil make their X look bad and think that he beat a 4.8.

I'm against it whether you spent a ton or not. I mean since a Z8 costs sooo much should you slap an M badge on it? I say if you want a ///M, buy one they come with the badges

Well the Z8 does not come in 3 flavors ranging in price difference of over $30k, so I don't think its the right comparison. In my opinion putting an ///M badge on Z8 is degrading its value as it more expensive than any ///M.

So, its OK for a 3.0 or 4.4 X5 owner to put a 4.6 or 4.8 kit but its not OK for a 4.6 or 4.8 owner to put an ///M badge.

Personally, I don't care what somebody does with their car as long as it makes them happy. Its their car anyway.

But it might still look like $hit!

Rebadging is dumb.. I saw 4.6 badges on a 3.0 in Boston... It didn't even have a 4.6 exhaust or anything, and it had the base 17" wheels. There's like a 1991 Toyota Camry around here with "SUPERSTREET" decals on the back window and fake wire wheels, and a spoiler that looks like someone ripped the wing of a 747 or something.
