Awesome Loaner Car!
Brought the X in for Inspection 1 this morning. There was a long list of items given to the SA, and it is likely I'll get to keep the loaner until tomorrow. I hope I do. Got me a brand spanking new white 328Xi with 50 miles on it. It went into service a week ago today, meaning it has been driven for 3 or 4 days at the most. It is a pretty base car--beyond the cold and premium packages, and the working Sirius, that is. I think the only thing I do not like about the car is the cupholders. Well, other than the fact the car only has 2 pedals and it is not a 335.  It's a great drive, and if I could manage with such a small car, I would love to own another 3 series. It's a big improvement over my E36.
This is one of the perks of owning a BMW. Bring your car into a dealer, even one where you did not buy your car, and you get hooked up with a nice loaner car for the day or two it will take to service my car for free. It's a chore to bring in the wife's minivan and coordinate that lack of a Toyota loaner. Sure, you pay for the perks up front, but I can live with that! Thanks to BMW of Darien for the nice ride!
