Awesome Loaner Car!

Brought the X in for Inspection 1 this morning. There was a long list of items given to the SA, and it is likely I'll get to keep the loaner until tomorrow. I hope I do. Got me a brand spanking new white 328Xi with 50 miles on it. It went into service a week ago today, meaning it has been driven for 3 or 4 days at the most. It is a pretty base car--beyond the cold and premium packages, and the working Sirius, that is. I think the only thing I do not like about the car is the cupholders. Well, other than the fact the car only has 2 pedals and it is not a 335. It's a great drive, and if I could manage with such a small car, I would love to own another 3 series. It's a big improvement over my E36.

This is one of the perks of owning a BMW. Bring your car into a dealer, even one where you did not buy your car, and you get hooked up with a nice loaner car for the day or two it will take to service my car for free. It's a chore to bring in the wife's minivan and coordinate that lack of a Toyota loaner. Sure, you pay for the perks up front, but I can live with that! Thanks to BMW of Darien for the nice ride!

I agree. That is what happens when we bring our cars to Crevier for service. There was one time when the service loaners were all out and Brad hooked me up with one of the "sales loaner". I remember it was a Z3 3.0i with all the options!

Grrr, still no service loaner. The joys of bringing a BMW in for service and coming out with a flawed GM car.

Poor Matt - I also get great loaners. I've had brand new X3s, 330s and 5s. They won't give me a 6er for the day though. I keep trying

I guess BMW loaners are a dealer-by-dealer thing. My dealer's policy is that only those who bought from them get a loaner. I've been lucky and had E46's and X3's. When they run out of BMW loaners I get a rental such as a Taurus. Yippee.

Speaking of rental cars, I had a great rental in Maui last week. It was a Malibu Maxx that was very useful but drove just how you'd imagine it would. One cool plus was that it had remote start which would kind of scare people walking by.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I have driven a 325 loaner as well. It a great car and sure does make you think about buying a second BMW. I think its a great marketing tool and BMW should require/pay all the dealers to provide BMW loaners.

I purchased my BMW from a dealer 40 miles from my home because of the level of service and the fact that they provide BMW loaners.

There is no BMW dealer in the DC area that I've heard consistently provides excellent service to all customers and BMW loaners to all customers. That's what happens when you live in a big NE city

Hassell BMW in Freeport, NY gave me a 335 the other day. They even have a 7 series avail if you ask for a larger car for the family.
