545xi

Does anyone know if they're going to build a 545xi? I'm trying to get my dad into a 5. I'd steer him in the direction of a 750i but theres no AWD. Why isn't BMW catching on to putting AWD in new models? Mercedes has and Audi has. I WANT A WIDER CHOICE! Well, for my dad.

525xi sedan and touring, 530xi touring. No 545xi shows in any of the literature. I want a 530xi touring, no sports package, with SMG (which they don't do, as SMG is only with SP, and not with X drive). It may have to be a 6 speed manual. Maybe next year.

Actually, probably never since there will be NO more 545i for 2006 model year. Instead, it will be replaced with a 550i.

So, will BMW come out with a 550xi? We'll see....

Talking

Ahh,

The 750iL has been seen many places in SoCal already (remember, the facelifted 7-series which has a 4.8 liter engine producing 360 hp?! )

In fact, just so one yesterday (black/black) @ Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!

Also, the 645Ci will turn into the 650Ci as well.

BTW, Chris F., there is also a new 3-series that just came out. You might have seen the ads and commercials. They have 2 new 6-cylinder engines (both are 3.0 liter). The "325i" has a 3.0 liter with simpler intake and different cams, etc. producing only 215 hp and the 330i has a 3.0 liter with a 3-stage intake system, different cams, software producing only 255 hp.

The 2006 215hp 525i and 255hp 530i are arriving at the dealers as we speak.

Most likely the 2006 Z4 and 2006 X3 will get the new engines and maybe the 2006 X5 3.0i will get the new 255hp engine as well.
