Just the opposite here in your Nation's Capital...it's been up in the mid 60's-70's the past two weeks and only now is it "typical" winter weather. Allegedly snow tomorrow evening, though. Weather is cyclical, what are you gonna do against moms nature?

"global warming" does not equal "warmer weather". It ends up producing stronger weather systems, meaning more extreme weather. When it's cold, then it's really cold. When it's warm, then it's really warm. When it snows, lots of snow. When it rains, lots of rain. And when it's dry, it's extremely dry. There's less moderation.

BTW - a "globe" is something you can hold in your hands. I don't really care if my globe experiences "climate change." Please explain to me what happened to Mars' polar caps? Did we pollute so much we melted them too?

Exactly, I've never understood why a phenomenon that science can't prove or disprove is deemed "fact". On one hand you'll have all these people going on and on about how humans are the cause of climate change and then on the next report you'll here, "well, this might be the natural change of things". George Carlin said it best: "Earth isn't afraid of you, you aren't destroying Earth. The day Earth gets tired of humans it will shake you off like a bad case of fleas." Not to mention that the "causes" of climate change have been changed half a dozen times. I remember it was cars, then factories, then exploration, then farming....how about it is a natural event that human beings have simply increased. When the Earth has gone through a dozen or so Ice Ages and climate shifts, were humans around to cause it? ![]() It isn't the "Earth" we care about, it is our ability to live on it.

Dennis Miller on Global Warming:
There's a lot of differing data [about global warming], but as far as I can gather, over the last hundred years the temperature on this planet has gone up 1.8 degrees. Am I the only one who finds that amazingly stable? I could go back to my hotel room tonight and futz with the thermostat for three to four hours. I could not detect that difference."
