This watch tells who's calling

The most expensive and prestigious watches aren't the ones with the most functions or the most up-to-date chips — they're the ones that do the least, in as old-fashioned a way as possible. Just think of mechanical Rolexes. .....................But this one is a little different.

As I am someone who has a fondness for watches and a small collection, I have often wondered, realistically, how much longer the classic wrist watch will be sought after.
I would think, one of the most natural places to put some sort of phone, cpu, pda, ipod, all in one device, would be or could be, on one's wrist.

But then I started thinking, nah, men will not give up wearing watches. Too many people have way too much affection for them.

So I started thinking, what about a deployment. Meaning, we keep our watches but add a little mini computer that integrates into a new band. Sort of like the way breitling's can add a second watch below the main watch..

Just my .02.

The old Dick Tracy comics wrist radio was a harbinger...
I had one of these, way back. That 4 bucks took a week
of mowing lawns to afford. We all got them, in the 'hood,
but they barely worked, lol!
