My 330xi is in the shop for a few days. They were out of BMW loaners, and I didn't want an Enterprise rental. So I'm spending the next day or two toodling around in this baby:

It's kind of a fun car. The steering has absolutely no communication, though. The brakes are good. It's slow as hell unless you use Tiptronic to work the gears. The gear shift is loose, so if you're in drive it will sometimes fall into Tiptronic, which is super-convenient if you give it gas expecting it to downshift, but you're in 5th.. It has steering-wheel mounted shift buttons though, so those are fun. No stability control. It's great in the snow though, because he has studded Nokian Hakkapeliittas on it. Because of my brother's great maintainance, it still has the original wiper blades from when he bought it. I washed the windshield tonight and thought I was going to go off the road. This thing doesn't even have a CD player! It's still kind of fun, though. I'll appreciate the advantage BMW has over Audi when I get back into my car!
