B-Line International Airport....

I bought a fleet of helicopters

Let me try to answer your questions before you ask them.

1) Yes, they are fun as hell.
2) Yes, they are a little hard to fly.
3) Yes, they are affordable ($180)
4) Yes, they do rape you on replacement parts which you will need to buy often as crashes are fairly common.
5) Yes, I do fly mine indoors. I actually have only flown it once outside and it was a disaster.
6) You can buy them at RC hobby shops. The price includes a remote control but no spares.
7) Yes, my fiancee does yell at me when I crash into things like picture frames.
8) No, I haven't done any real damage to anything except my heli.
9) We have three of them because: 1 belongs to me, 1 belongs to my bro, the third we use as a "parts helicopter". (These things are so addictive and fun, you will buy multiples too..)
10) All three of ours our temp. out of commission. We are waiting on parts but since these heli's flew off the shelve's for Christmas, a lot of vendors are low on parts stock.
11) The battery lasts about 20 minutes then you need to recharge it. Recharge is about 1-2 hrs.

Let me know if you have other questions.. THEY ARE SOOOOOO much fun.

And they are called the BLADE CX. The Red one is a BLADE CX2, (the current version). The red and yellow is a frankencopter.

B

--- Oh, and they are not hard to maintain. Most everything can be fixed with small screwdriver that they provide. I am not a wrench, if I can fix it, anyone can. You get so excited to fly it, you force yourself to learn how to replace parts. Each repair takes anywhere from 2-10 min... tops..

Looks pretty fun, except the ceiling in my house is kind of low. How high are you flying them?

You don't need to fly them high... Matter of fact, the first challenge when you get one is to try to maintain a low hover. As your skills get better you increase height. Then you try forward flight, backwards flight, figure 8's, precision landings, etc...

I usually fly them around eye level...

But literally, it takes a couple of days before you get good enough to do that stuff. Because you keep crashing into stuff, you have down time... You either have to go to the shop to get replacement parts, or wait for them in the mail.. DOWNTIME is horrible.. I WANT TO FLY NOW !!!!!!

So you don't need high ceilings.. Just some space in the house that doesn't have a lot of obstructions.
