PS3 and Wi-Fi?

Does the PS3 have a wireless Wi-Fi?

I know the Xbox 360 has one but the PS3 does not appear to have one..

Please help..
Thanks,
B

If you have the 60gb, the wireless is built in. You set it up through the startup menu.

It should be able to pick it up without any interface. Go to the setup menu.

Wow. Only the PS3 60GB has built-in WiFi? For $500 for the 20GB and being the latest and greatest it should have be included. You've got to buy the $600 60GB to get it. Yet another reason to love the Wii: For $250 is has WiFi built-in. I downloaded a trial version of a web browser and it works great for Internet via the Wii. I can also download the old school NES, Super NES, and even Sega Genesis games.

B-Line. I highly recommend upgrading to version 1.50 as this will fix any bugs that were present and give you added wireless security.

http://ps3mods.blogspot.com/ great source for PS3 info.
The PLAYSTATION®3 system software version 1.50 update includes the following:

  • <LI class=li_users>Users
    • You can now select an image to use as the User icon from [Photo].
    <LI class=li_settings>Settings
    • [Key Tone] has been added as an option under [Sound Settings].
    • [Delete Backup Data] has been added as an option under [System Settings] > [Backup Utility].
    • WEP 128, WPA-PSK (TKIP) and WPA-PSK (AES) have been added as security methods that can be used with [AOSS™] under [Automatic].*
      * If you have already set up for AOSS using an earlier version of the system software, you must perform AOSS setup again to use the security methods listed above.
      * When [Automatic] is selected, the security method to be used is automatically set.
      * AOSS is a trademark of Buffalo, Inc.
  • Friends
Other You can now enter text in Korean using the on-screen keyboard
