I think this is a bunch of vaporware from Verizon to promote PR.

Apple would never have released a CDMA phone, it wouldn't have made sense costwise or international-wise...

Just curious why no deal with Sprint?

Anyhow, no fast internet with the first gen iPhone. Will wait till they have EV-DO speeds and more programs for the phone. Currently, everything I need on my phone is well taken care of with my Treo 700p. I agree the iPhone looks nice, but there isn't something that the iPhone does that I can't do on my Treo 700p already. Granted the multi-tasking is probably better on the iPhone, but for my needs (certain medical programs which run on Palm OS) and internet access and e-mail, etc. the Treo 700p fits the bill for me.

I have been with Verizon for a long time and I think I will change as soon as my current contract is up. I went into my local VZ store this past weekend and asked when the Blackberry Pearl was going to be available and the salesman just shrugged his shoulders. Plus in my area (Philly) VZ has the worst digital network for my Treo 700w. I drop calls as soon as they are made. VZ is truly pissing me off! Cingular/AT&T here I come!
